Hi Friends!
I am so excited to have received another Influenster box to review! This time Influenster sent Maybelline’s brand new Tattoo Studio Brow Gel as well as the Maybelline BROW precise Micro Pencil. So today I would like to share my thoughts on both of these products as well as the unboxing of the package they were sent in.
These two items were sent to me in a standard Influenster box but of course it read Maybelline on the outside. The box and the tissue paper on the inside were both black. When I opened the box, there was a card with some additional information about the Tattoo Studio Brow Gel and then of course there were the two product just below the card.
The main item of interest in this box is the Tattoo Studio Brow Gel. This item comes with the brow gel, an applicator, and a small spoolie to help shade and blend your brows. The directions to apply the brow gel are simple:
- (Pro Tip) Outline your brows first with the Brow Precise Micro pencil.
- Shade mid-brow and tail
- Fill inner brow
- Blend and soften intensity
This brow gel is supposed to last up to two days. It is completely water proof however it will come off with soap or oil.
I personally, don’t notice that it lasts that long because I wash my face every morning and night. I feel like I still need to shape and fill in my brows every morning anyway. I do however like the color that it applies to my eye brows. I have a few blonde hairs in my brows which makes them look patchy so I do like adding this color on the hairs. It makes them pretty stark. I feel like the brow gel is pretty innovative. I don’t know if I would re-purchase it again. It doesn’t do that much to my brows but I think it is a decent product.
As for the applicator, you have to go very slowly. It is kind of large and picks up a lot of product in the tube so it is easy to make a mistake. I made a few mistakes when testing out this brow gel and it was difficult to wash off and I couldn’t just wipe it off.
The spoolie to me is pointless. It is so small and hard to keep track of. I just end up using the spoolie on the back of the Brow Precise Micro Pencil.
As for the pencil part of the Brow Precise Micro Pencil – its amazing! It is probably an exact dupe for the Anastasia Brow Wiz. It is very precise and is the perfect shade match for me. I honestly don’t think I will buy the Brow Wiz again after this pencil.
Overall, I am glad to have been sent this box! I will continue to use both these products and will most likely repurchase the brow wiz. Thank you Maybelline for letting me test your products! Just a disclaimer, although I did receive these items for free from Influenster, all opinions are my own.
