Hi Friends!
I am excited to tell you about this eyeshadow palette from Milani! I have never tried Milani’s eyeshadows until this one but I have quick fallen in love. As you can probably tell from my blog, I usually enjoy using and buying higher end eyeshadow palettes but when I saw this one, I honestly initially thought it was a Tarte palette.
This is the Most Loved Mattes palette, it retails for $20 and comes with 12 matte shades. The palette is set up in 3 columns which Milani has labeled Daytime, Anytime, and Playtime!
In the first column (Daytime):
Fancy Vanilla – This is the typical white / cream shade that almost every palette has. I love shades like this to set my primer and highlight my brow bone.
My Daily Latte – This one is kind of hard to see in the swatch but it is kind of like a dusty light rose color. It’s a really nice transition shade.
Toast of The Town – This is a super soft eyeshadow, it just melts to the touch. It is a really beautiful warm brown shade. This is probably my favorite shade from the palette.
Chocolate Is Life – This is a deep brown shade. It really doesn’t swatch well but it applies pretty decently to the eyes. Definitely a shade that needs some blending.
In the second column (Anytime):
Come Up Roses – This is a beautiful dusty pink shade. It is also really nice as a transition shade or as an all over the lid shade on a more natural no makeup look type of day.
Bust a Mauve – The name of this shade is awesome. The shade itself though is this brown mauvy shade. Its really nice.
No Plum Intended – As the name would suggest, this is a plummy purple shade. Its another really beautiful shade in the palette.
Don’t Raisin Your Voice – This is an even deeper purple shade. Similarly to Chocolate is life, it doesn’t swatch well.
In the third column (Playtime):
You’re a Peach – This is a really nice peachy pink shade. It reminds me slightly of Peach Sorbet from the Too Faced White Peach palette.
Catch a Tan – I wish I got as tan as this shade. This is a warm brown color. It is so smooth and easy to blend!
Hiking In Sedona – This shade actually reminds me completely of Sedona, AZ. This is a terracotta orange redish shade. I don’t usually like this type of shade on my eyes, but this one is pretty nice.
Umber the Sun – This is a cool brown shade. It is one of the better deeper shades in this palette.
As you can tell from the swatches, some of these shades don’t swatch that well, mainly the deeper shades but I am still really impressed with this palette over all.
One of my complaints is that Come Up Roses, You’re a Peach, and My Daily Latte are very similar. So similar that I can’t really tell the difference between them when they are all swatched together. I feel like there was room to add another unique shade in there in place of one of those three.
Here are a couple of looks that I created with this palette!
This one is using the Daytime column:
And this one is using the Anytime column:
I also used the CoverFX shimmer veil with this look!
Overall, I really enjoy this palette and would 100% recommend. The shade selection is beautiful, it can easily be used as an every day palette and go from daytime to nighttime. This is a really quality palette. Let me know what your thoughts are on this palette! Do you already own it or are you interested in buying it? I would love to know!
