Anastasia Beverly Hills: Norvina Eyeshadow Palette Review and Swatches!

Hi Friends!

I finally got the Norvina palette! You all already knew that I was going to get this palette – Anastasia Beverly Hills is one of my favorite brands and I LOVE their eyeshadow palettes. Right off the bat, this palette is ABSOLUTELY beautiful! It is completely inspired by Norvina AKA Claudia who is the daughter of Anastasia.

The packaging is a beautiful purple felt which is the same style as the other ABH palettes. I know a lot of people don’t like the felt because it gets dirty but I love it! This palette retails for $42 and it comes with 14 shades, a brush, and a mirror!

Out of the 14 shades, there are 7 shimmer shades and 7 matte shades. They are split out in the palette to have all the shimmer shades on the top and all of the matte shades on the bottom. Let’s jump into the swatches and shades!

In the first row, you have:

Dreamer – This is a soft pink champagne shimmer shade. This one is so SOFT when you touch it. It is a go to for shimmer shades and an inner corner highlight.

Summer – This is a foiled metallic golden honey shade. Again, so beautiful and soft.

Wild Child – This is soft baby pink shade. In the pan it looks a lot brighter then it comes across in the swatch.

Rose Gold – This has got to be the most beautiful shade in the palette. It honestly makes me feel some type of way. The name is Rose Gold but to me it is a dark copper rose metallic shade. The way it reflects light is incredible! It also reminds me a lot of the Smashbox x Vlada collection.

Celestial – This is one of the more unique shades in the palette. It is a bright purple shimmer shade. I actually expected this one to be more metallic but it is still really beautiful.

Dazzling – This is a metallic tan / bronze shade. Anastasia describes is as a duo chrome with a  violet shift but I don’t really see that. It is beautiful but I don’t think this palette needs this and Summer.

Drama – This shade is a dark brown shade with a slight shift of purple. This shade really surprised me because it looks like it is going to be just as shimmery as everything else in the first row but it is actually a soft shimmer and a bit of glitter. It is good to deepen up some shades but I don’t see myself using it that much.

In the second row, you have:

Base – This is a standard cream BASE shade. I personally this a shade like this is essential to every palette!

Soul – This is another unique shade to the palette and one that really draws you in. It is a matte lilac wine shade.

Incense – This is a warm tan shade. It is one of the more basic shades in the palette, essential but kind of boring.

Love – This is a matte cool toned pink shade and it is quite pigmented, its beautiful!

Volatile – This is a dark brown matte shade – another kind of boring one to the palette. It is very pigmented and good for deepening up a eyeshadow look.

Eccentric – This is a dark burnt orange matte shade. It isn’t bad but I just isn’t that fun to work with. Working with a shade like this doesn’t come naturally for me.

Passion – This is a matte red-ish brown shade. This is another one that just doesn’t excite me but I realize that these are essential for a palette to come together.

The shades, Base, Soul, and Love all appear to have a slight bit of glitter in them, but the glitter doesn’t appear on the eye or in a swatch. I think this has to do with the way that a formulated but they are still all matte!

All of these shimmers are so beautiful and soft! They just make me want to melt. The mattes are also very beautiful, I love how all of the colors look together. There are a few that’s that are slightly boring but I absolutely can see Norvina and Anastasia’s vision with this palette. Its really nice.

The quality of this palette is out of this world. I haven’t had an issue with a single shade. I do recognize a little bit of fall out with the shimmer shades but its nothing that I can’t work with but that really just comes down to personal preference.

I really enjoy this palette and highly recommend it. It really just comes down to if you see yourself wearing these colors. Let me know down below what you think of this palette! Are you going to pick it up or are you going to pass? I would love to know!

      • Well, I’ve been having mixed reactions :p. Both are good pallets. I was really on the fence to get the Urban Decay one because it had more colors and my Sephora was offering 25% off, which didn’t work on ABH… But I was telling myself I’ll give it some more time and sea :p…

      • The Sephora VIB sale is coming up soon which will be 10-20% off on everything (depending on where you are at!). Maybe that would be a good time to buy it. Honestly, I have heard really good things about the UD Born to Run palette too so I think you would be happy either way!
