I hope you are having a wonderful day so far! Today I wanted to talk about the Urban Decay Naked Petite Heat eyeshadow palette. This palette was released earlier this year but I just got it in the Sephora VIB Sale. I added it to my July month long project pan so I could get some more use out of it and determine my thoughts. This is my first and only Naked palette from Urban Decay so I can’t really compare it to any of their other Naked palettes or the original Heat palette.
As I am sure you know, this palette was inspired by the original Heat palette which is the full size palette that includes 12 shades. The Naked Petite Heat only includes 6 shades and retails for $29. Out of the 6 shades, there are 5 matte shades and 1 shimmer shade that Urban Decay called a “demi-matte highlighting shade”.
I know there was some controversy when this palette first launched because Urban Decay claimed that these were all brand new shades / unique to the Naked Petite Heat but honestly most of them were identical to shades in the Naked Heat palette. There really would be no point in owning both palettes.
The outer packaging is really nice. It just looks really classic with the shaded and the gold lettering. The details on this palette are so impressive, including the inside of the uni-carton. There are burnt matches all throughout the inning of the box. The actual palette is really nice as well. It has a nice weight to it even for how small it is and then there are flowers on fire all across the top of the palette. It also includes a pretty big mirror if that is important to you.
Let’s jump into the shades though!
Inhale – This is the “demi-matte highlighting shade” that I mentioned above. It is a basic white cream shimmery shade.
Vibrate – This is muted tan matte shade. It looks really nice as a transition shade or an all over the lid shade.
Hot Spell – This is a bit of a deeper tan matte shade. It can also be used as a transition shade for the darker tones in the palette.
Wild Things – This is a true burnt orange matte shade. It is probably the most unique shade in the palette.
Heist – This is an orangish / redish / brownish matte shade. It is nice to deepen up the other v.
Strike – This is the darkest shade of the palette. It is a dark redish brown matte shade. Definitely great for deepening the outer v or as an all over the lid shade for a really smoked out look. This is the only shade that didn’t swatch well but it still looks beautiful on the eyes.

Overall, I am really impressed with this palette. I think I have been able to create a decent range of looks despite only having 6 shades. I think this palette does a nice job of giving you warm tones but also really wearable shades to where there is a lot of diversity. They all blend perfectly and have great wear time on my eyes. I think it is a good palette to have in my collection and I am happy to have finally tried a Naked palette from Urban Decay.
