Hi Friends!
I mentioned in my Zodiac Palette review that I also picked up the Kathleen Lights x ColourPop Dream St. palette! But let me tell you, these palettes are completely different. If you aren’t familiar, Kathleen Lights is a famous beauty guru on YouTube and she has recently released 2 collaborations with ColourPop. The first one being the Dream St. collection and then just recently the Zodiac Collection. Of course, I am an eyeshadow junkie so I picked up both the palettes!
The Dream St. palette is very different than the Zodiac palette. The packaging is this cream and rose gold marble which looks really luxe. This palette does retail for $16 and comes with 12 matte and shimmery satin shades. It does not come with a mirror whereas the Zodiac palette does.
When Kathleen Lights and ColourPop first announced the Dream St. collection, I wasn’t crazy about the palette. I don’t think the colors are CRAZY unique. Most of the shades are very natural and then there are a few pops of blue and pink. But let’s talk about each shade!
In the first row, you have:
Shooting Star – This is a matte soft golden tan / brown shade. This is great as a transition shade. It works with any shade in the palette.
Magical – This is a soft yellow / orange matte shade. This can also be used as a transition shade to build up to something darker in the palette like Shooting Star or Potion.
Star Dust – This is a bright copper / orange bronze shimmer shade. It reminds me of a couple of shades from the ColourPop Sol and Mar palettes. They must really like their copper shades.
Twinkle – This is also a bright copper metallic shade. I like this one more than Star Dust but it also reminds me of a few shades from the Sol and Mar palettes.
In the second row, you have:
Sweet Dreams – This is a champagne shimmery shade. It is a beautiful shade buy pretty basic.
Water Bearer – This is PIGMENTED dark blue / green (almost black) shade. ColourPop describes this shade as teal which I don’t agree with at all.
Potion – This is a matte reddish rust color. This shade doesn’t excite me that much but I recognize its place in the palette.
Spark – This is a matte “neon” red / pink shade. It is one of the most unique shades of the palette.
In the third row, you have:
Kaleidoscope – This is a shimmery silver metallic shade. In some lights it is quite silver and then in other lights it is almost nude. Very reflective and beautiful!
Elfish – This is a dark chocolate brown shade. I am glad they included this dark shade to deepen up your crease.
Moony – This is soft pink satin shade. It is a beautiful all over the lid shade or over one of the other mattes in the palette.
Mermaid Bay – This this metallic dark teal shade. It completely reminds me of mermaids so I think they named it correctly.
Overall, I really like this palette! The color selection is pretty basic (at least most of the shades) but I do think it is a good Go To palette. The formula is significantly better than the Zodiac palette especially when it comes to the mattes. I can see why this palette was super hyped when it first released. I think ColourPop has amazing eyeshadows for the price and I would definitely recommend this one.
Let me know down below what your thoughts are on this palette! Do you like ColourPop eyeshadows as much as I do?
The shimmery colours look so pretty! x

I would buy this palette just for Mermaid Boy, it’s gorgeous! Defs going to try and find an individual shade like this on Colourpop’s site. Great review! X

I know, right?! It’s SO pretty. I bet ColourPop has a similar shade in their Super Shock formula. Rem & Superfly seem to be the most similar!
