Hi Friends!
I have another Palette Bingo for you today! These have been my favorite kinds of posts lately, I am thinking of making it a weekly series on my blog. I just think it is such a great way to get use out of my palettes, especially the colorful ones where otherwise I might not be using them.
Today, I chose the Javia’s Place Masquerade palette! I have already done one other Juvia’s Place palette because these palettes are famous for being extremely colorful. I chose 4 random shades from this palette using a random number generator on Google.
Here are the shades that I chose:
11 – Cairo
5 – Makeda
15 – Casablanca
16 – Fulani
I have to admit. The shades stumped me for awhile. I didn’t really know what to do at first. Most of the colors that I drew were warm and then I drew the random purple shimmery shade as well. But that is what makes it a challenge!
I started out with Fulani and blended that all over my lid. I tried to keep it kind of light so that it didn’t muddy up any of the other eyeshadows but it was too pigmented and came out way darker than I wanted. Luckily it didn’t affect the other shades or at least not in the way that I was trying to prevent.
I then took Makeda and blended that in my crease and on the inner and outer sides of my eyelid. I wanted this one to be a little lower than Fulani so that you could see the gradient. I know this was a little bit of a strange strategy since Makeda is a slightly shimmery shade but I think it turned out well.
Cairo was probably the hardest shade to incorporate. Just because it is such a bright color but I wanted Makeda to be the main focus for this look so I just swept Cairo on the outer lower lash line.
And finally, I took Casablanca and stamped that on the center of my eyelid. I was so surprised that I didn’t need to use my finger for this one but it actually went on really well with a brush. I also took Casablanca on the inner half of my lower lash line just to even it out with Cairo.
And here is the final look!
I think it came together, this isn’t my favorite look ever but I don’t hate it. Let me know down below what you think of this look! Also let me know what you would have done with these shades. I would love to know!
I just bought my first Juvias Place palette and I already want more! This is a really pretty palette and I like the look you did! 🙂 I like the idea of randomly chosing colors and coming up with a look. I like wearing crazy colors haha…I forget the names already, but I would have tried putting the light brown in the crease with the reddish shade concentrated on the outer corner, then put the purple on the inside and outside of the lid with the gold shimmer right in the middle of the lid. Might have come out crazy though 😂

Yes – I love crazy colors too and Juvia’s Place is the perfect brand to mix it up! Their eyeshadows are incredible! I have almost all of their palettes now and I actually have a collection post coming up soon! Which one did you get? I LOVE THAT idea on how to use the shades, so much better than what I came up with. I am definitely not a professional. 🙂

Haha I just put up my post…I bought The Douce palette. I’m in love with the mint green in it. I can’t remember the name of the other one I want but it has like two rows of warm shades and two rows of cool shades, and the cover has one person in browns and the other person in blues. I would love to see your collection post! It’s ok…I’m not a professional either!! Super beginner here but I have been watching videos on blending and colors like crazy. 🙂
