Today, I wanted to share my review of the esfolio Pearl Essence Sheet Mask! When I first started my blog, I did a review of the Egg and the Green Tea sheet masks from esfolio and I absolutely loved them both. Ever since I tried those masks, I have been swooping on all of the esfolio masks that I see at TJ MAXX or Marshalls. So I bought a 10 pack of the Pearl Essence sheet mask and have used up several of them already and wanted to shade my thoughts!
So initially, the packaging is just like a normal sheet mask. Each pack is designed with this cute blonde mermaid with a light yellow sea shell designs in the background. Most of the information about the sheet mask is in Korean since that is where this product is made but they do have a couple of instructions and claims in English!
So the first claim on the front of the package is that this mask has “enriched pearly extract and components deliver abundant moisture and nourishment deep into your skin.” This mask is supposed to brighten and moisturize your “roughened” skin. Esfolio does suggest to wear this mask for at least 15 minutes which is the normal wear time for a sheet mask. Some sheet masks claim that you only need to wear it for 5 or 10 minutes but I usually use them for about 25 minutes just to get all the nutrients really soaked in my skin.
Right off the bat, this mask is soaked with essence. The mask comes out dripping and there is usually a cup full of serum left over in the pouch as well. I usually wipe the mask over my face before I even unfold it just to apply that initial layer of serum. I think the excess is a little excessive, I end up having to pour some of it out. Don’t get me wrong, it is nice to have a little extra just to run on your hands or on your neck but esfolio puts a lot in there for just one use.
The mask is really relaxing and enjoyable. It has this faint floral, sweet smell which is nice. It also has a cooling affect which is especially enjoyable in these hot summer days.
Immediately after removing this mask, I do feel like my skin looks brighter and more moisturized. Of course, I haven’t seem any long term affects but I wouldn’t expect to with only using them a handful of times. Even with the whole box. Sheet masks must be used continuously over a long period of time to see long term affects.
Overall, I really like this mask! I think it’s a great price and really enjoyable experience so I would definitely recommend this mask to you!
