Hi Friends!
Today I wanted to talk about the Too Faced Born This Way (super coverage) Multi-Use Sculpting Concealer! I have actually been wanting to talk about this concealer for forever but have put this review off for whatever reason. I was so excited to try this concealer because I love Too Faced and it looked like it was just as good as the Tarte Shape Tape concealer.
This concealer is $29 so it is fairly expensive. However, it does come with .5 oz. of product which is significantly more than other concealers. Tarte Shape Tape only has .33 oz. of product. I feel like this is something that Too Faced does really well. There are 20 shades and a good range in between. My shade is Swan which is the lightest shade and a fair neutral shade.
The packaging is so cute! The outer box is a soft pink shade with gold accents. The actually concealer itself if a large see through tube with a black lid. This concealer also has a large doe-foot applicator which is really great!
Too Faced has infused this concealer with coconut water, alpine rose, and hyaluronic acid. I think this is so interesting because you don’t usually hear too much about the ingredients of concealers outside of just the normal ones. These 3 infusions serve a purpose though, listed here:
Coconut Water – to delicately rerplenish skin’s moisture levels.
Alpine Rode – to brighten skin’s appearance and promote elasticity.
Hyaluronic Acid – for smoother, more youthful looking appearance.
Too Faced also claims that this concealer is hydrating, long-wearing, photo friendly, and non-comedogenic. (Non-comedogenic means that it won’t block your pores and cause blackheads). And I feel like they have the ingredients to support the hydrating claim.
I mainly use this concealer to highlight my face instead of trying to cover blemishes. And I LOVE it! It is 100x better than the Tarte Shape Tape concealer in my opinion. But let me explain why!
My favorite thing about this concealer is how much is actually highlights my face. It looks really natural and bright under my eyes and even on the center of my forehead. In order for it to look so natural, I notice how easy it blends into my foundation. It really does make a world of a difference. It blends so easily and doesn’t look cakey at all.
I also really love the wear time of this concealer. It usually lasts longer than my foundation. At the end of the day, my under eyes still look just as bright as the beginning of the day.
I know a big thing about the Born This Way concealer is the coverage. I don’t really have dark under eyes so I don’t notice the coverage as much. I mean, it obviously does have coverage but I don’t know how well it necessarily does with dark under eyes. I have used it occasionally on a blemish and it does as well as any other concealer. It covers the color but doesn’t always cover the texture.
Overall, you MUST try this concealer! If you like the Tarte Shape Tape then you will LOVE this one. I highly recommend it! Let me know down below if you have tried this concealer and what you think of it! I would love to know!
this is such a good post!
