Too Faced: Tutti Frutti Dew You Fresh Glow Foundation Review!

Hi Friends!

I recently did a HUGE Ulta Beauty haul and one of the items that I picked up was the Too Faced Tutti Frutti Dew You Full-Coverage Fresh Glow Foundation. I bought this foundation because one, I love Too Faced. But not only do I love Too Faced, but I really love their Peach Perfect matte foundation.  That is one of my favorite foundations of all time so naturally, I wanted the dewy version as well. I have been testing it out for the past couple of weeks and am finally ready to share my review!

Before we get into my thoughts, this foundation does retail for $36 which is pretty expensive. However it does come with slightly more product than other high end foundations. It comes with 1.35 oz. in total. Other foundations usually come with only 1 oz. so I appreciate the little extra from Too Faced.

The packaging of this foundation is crazy cute. This was released as part of the Too Faced Tutti Frutti collection so just like many other Too Faced products this foundation is infused with fruit. Peach has been Too Faced’s holy grail fruit for awhile but this foundation is infused with watermelon and fresh cucumber. The packaging reflects the watermelon infusion. It’s a soft pink color with little hits of watermelon seeds. They also have hits of silver, like the font and the cap, which makes it stand out against the Peach Perfect one. Also I love a foundation with a pump, 10 stars for the packaging.

This foundation has 20 shades which is a ton but it does appear to have a good range. I am in the shade Nude which is a light shade with a bit of rosy undertones. I believe Too Faced released more shades of the Peach Perfect foundation several months after the launch so maybe they will do the same with the Dew You one.

The Dew You foundation is supposed to be:

  • Long-wearing
  • Dewy Finish
  • Hydrating
  • Brightening
  • Full coverage

So I really like the color of this foundation – I think it is a good fit for my skin tone. Its super easy to apply and blends really easily into my skin. I haven’t noticed any cakey-ness or even patchiness. And it definitely has a dewy-finish which is nice one in a while. Although, if you read my Peach Perfect foundation review, I didn’t particularly think that foundation was very matte. It had the perfect satin texture in my opinion.

Unfortunately, there are a few things that I don’t like about this foundation. It is not very full coverage on my skin. I have a few acne scars on my cheeks and it doesn’t do a good job covering them. Even after trying to build it up. I think it looks perfect on the areas of my face with no scarring but obviously I’m not trying to cover that areas as much.

It also doesn’t seem to be that long-wearing. The little coverage that it adds to my acne scars seems to disappear by the time I look back in the mirror. It usually wears by mid-afternoon.

I think this foundation is good but I don’t like it nearly as much as the Peach Perfect one. I am glad I tried it though and I will definitely use it up. There are certain days where I don’t need full coverage and just want to through something on and this is perfect for that. It matches my skin tone so perfectly that I would trust it even on the most rushed days. And if I haven’t mentioned this already, I do love the smell of it!

It really comes down to your preference if you are looking to buy this foundation. Definitely do your research and see what would be best for your skin type and if you don’t have any scars then this might really be full coverage and perfect for you.

Well that’s it for me today! Let me know down below what your favorite foundation is and why! I would love to know!

  1. Thanks for reviewing this!
That’s a shame that the foundation doesn’t wear very well and that it doesn’t cover all your scarring, that would be a big issue for me! I started getting cystic acne in the last year or so and it sucks, I don’t think I would get enough coverage with Dew You. The watermelon cucumber infusion sounds wonderful though!

  2. I was eyeing this up so I’m glad to read an in depth review! Somehow I have oily skin but full coverage foundation looks so cakey on me. I have been using either Urban Decay’s Naked foundation or Nyx BB Cream. I pair both with the Urban Decay Optical Illusion primer and it fills in my pores so I can have a more “full coverage” look without looking cakey.
