Welcome back to my blog! Today I wanted to do another Palette Bingo and this time I chose the Modern Renaissance palette from Anastasia Beverly Hills! I have really, really been enjoying these posts! I just think they are so fun and it allows me to play with my collection! Excect for the major fail with the Too Faced White Peach palette, that one didn’t go so well. If you haven’t seen my other (successful) Palette Bingos, then definitely go check them out.
As you know the Modern Renaissance palette is my 2018 Pan that Palette! I am trying to hit pan on every shade in the palette so I was hoping I would be able to use some of the shades that I have yet to hit my goal on. If you aren’t aware by now, I use a random number generator on Google to select the shades and then with those random shades, I am creating a makeup look!
So here are the 4 shades that I selected:
7 – Cyprus Umber
6 – Love Letter
13 – Warm Taupe
1 – Tempera
As a first step, of course, I took Tempera and blended that all over my eyelid. I got lucky with this shade since the other ones are pretty bold colors. I probably would have used this shade anyway, it is great to set your eyeshadow primer and highlight the brow bone.
I then took Warm Taupe and spread that all over my lid. This is one of my favorite shades in this palette, it is probably the most blendable shade in the world. I love it.
I then took Cyprus Umber and blended that into the outer v of my eye to kind of start a smokey eye look. I also went ahead and added this shade in my eyebrows since that is how I have been using it this whole year.
I then took Love Letter and blended that on my lower lash line but it initially looked a little too harsh so I took Tempera again and added it to the inner part of the lower lash line and on my inner corner. And then I took Cyprus Umber on the outer part of my lower lash line just to make is more cohesive with my eyelid.
So here is the final look!
I really like the way this look turned out, I think all of the colors went really well together. It was a lot easier than I thought when I first drew these colors. This palette just continues to impress me.
