Hi Friends!
I am completely obsessed with Anastasia Beverly Hills eyeshadow palettes. They are definitely some of my all time favorite eyeshadows out there. I admit that I am a bit of a collector when it comes to ABH.
There are so many things that I love about Anastasia’s eyeshadows. I enjoy the formula, all of the shadows are easy to blend and last all day. The color selection is usually pretty incredible as well. I feel like Anastasia has a way of selecting colors that make palettes unique and cohesive. I particularly feel that Anastasia is ahead of the trends. They usually release something and then other brands follow which is really interesting to see.
Let’s jump into my collection!
Modern Renaissance
This is very first palette that I bought from Anastasia and obviously it is their most popular palette. Everyone has this palette and everyone loves it. I think this palette really shot Anastasia Beverly Hills into the big leagues. They were doing well before then, they did a collaboration with Mario Dedivanovic (@MakeupByMario) and a LOT of people loves that palette but I think Modern Renaissance set them apart from other brands.
Modern Renaissance is one of those palettes that started the warm tone craze. It ignited people’s interest in warm tones. There have been many dupes of this palette but nothing really compares with it overall. I love just looking at this palette. All of the colors work really well together and I think its great for beginners and professionals.
If you don’t know already, I am panning this palette in my 2018 Pan that Pallette project and even though I got a little tired of using it over and over, it still is one of my favorite palettes and I’m excited that it actually shows how much I love it.
Subculture
Subculture is a very polarizing palette, you either love it or you hate it. When it first released, it seems like a lot more people hated it than loved it. It obviously has a different formula than the rest of the palettes and I agree with many of the reviews in the sense that it is very powdery.
There are a few shades that I don’t think perform that well but this palette also has shades that are incredible and VERY pigmented. It can be a lot of fun to play with if you have some time. I think the color selection is so unique and there is so much that you can do with this palette.
Prism
Prism is one of the most underrated ABH palettes out there. I think because it released shortly after Subculture that it was overshadowed a bit. Prism is so much fun to play with though! It has a few shimmery shades that will just blow your mind.
Similarly to Subculture, the color selection opens up so many possibilities for this palette. I really think there are endless looks that can be created. It just keeps things exciting. I don’t look at this palette and instantly see a look that I can put together, it does require a bit of thinking but that is part of what makes it so fun.
Soft Glam
Soft Glam was inspired by Anastasia herself – apparently these are all of her go to shades. This one shades a couple of shades with the Modern Renaissance and also brought in a few older shades that have been turned into singles. I honestly reach for Soft Glam ALL the time. It is such an easy go to palette, I completely understand Anastasia’s vision.
Out of all the palettes that I own, this one is probably my favorite. That is a hard thing to say because I donโt want to just pick one but I can use this one for day and night and for weeks on end and still love it. It really is a perfect neutral palette.
Norvina
Similarly to Soft Glam, Norvina was inspired by Claudia who is Anastasia’s daughter and the president of Anastasia Beverly Hills. This one released not too long ago and I am also completely in love with this palette. This is one of the palettes that is completely ahead of its time. Even since this one released, I have already seen purple toned palettes come out all over the place.
This one is just a lot of fun because it is pretty muted but has a bit of color in it. I love the equal amount of mattes and shimmers. I love playing with this one.
As you can tell, I love Anastasia Beverly Hills eyeshadows. I have my eye on the Sultry palette as the next one to pick up! Each of these palettes are so unique and I genuinely enjoy reaching for them.
Let me know down below what your favorite Anastasia palette is! How many do you own? I would love to know!
Love ABH shadows too! My favorite palette of hers is hands down the Master Palette by Mario. ๐ I recently bought Subculture so I’m excited to actually test that one out since it was so polarizing.

I am definitely going to buy it! I’m not completely WOW’ed by the colors but I love ABH so much and I definitely want to review it for my blog. I was hoping for something different to be honest though. I am just going to wait until the VIB sale though so I at least get 20% off. ๐

I’ve wanted an ABH palette for a while now and haven’t gotten one. Soft Glam is probably my favorite; may have to put it on my Xmas list…
