Today, I wanted to talk about how to shop the Sephora VIB sale and also share a few recommendations and tips on items to pick up which they are on sale! As you may know, items at Sephora RARELY go on sale. I know they release a couple of items each week as part of the weekly wow, but those are usually items that people aren’t really interested in or that they are having a problem with selling.
The Sephora VIB sales are usually a pretty big deal because EVERYTHING is on sale! Literally everything that they carry is on sale. So over the past couple of years, I have kind of learned and kind of grown to understand the items that I should be buying while on sale, and those are the tips that I want to share with you!
Buy Your Favorite Skin Care Products
We all know how expensive skin care can be, especially if you are already attached to any skin care items from Sephora. The VIB sale is the perfect time to pick up your favorite skin care items. Buy the items that you use on an everyday basis or items that you might run out of until the next VIB sale.
This also goes for any new skin care items that you have wanted to try! I love trying new masks and new cleansers so if there is something that I am interested in, I will definitely pick it up during a sale.
Restock on Your Favorite Products
Sephora VIB sales only happen 2-3 times a year so if you want to get a discount on items that you use all the time, this is a good time! Especially items that take less than 4-5 months to use up. This would include items like brow pencils, Beauty Blenders, primers, eye shadow primers, eyelashes, etc.
I have too much in every category to actually “restock” on anything but for normal makeup consumers, this is a great time!
Shop the Makeup Gift Sets and Sephora Favorites Sets
Some of the best things to buy during the holiday time, are gift sets! Bundles usually have a good value just normally but they are even better with a discount! I ALWAYS look at the bundles first because they might include items that I already want to buy.
The Sephora Favorites Sets are some of the best options because they include multiple brands. They include several of their bestselling products which is always fun to try a bunch of hyped up things.
Buy a New or Your Favorite Perfume
This is the perfect time to buy yourself a new perfume! Sometimes it is nice to just enter the new year with a fresh go-to scent and we all know how expensive a small bottle of perfume can be. I definitely recommend picking up the Sephora Favorites perfume set! There are 15 samples of 15 different perfumes and then it also comes with a voucher to redeem a full size perfume. So you can test 15 different samples and then whichever is your favorite, you can go get a full size one! The entire set is $65 (not including the percentage off during the sale) but you end up saving even more because the full size perfumes are usually $80-$100.
Pick Up Any Luxury / Expensive Items You Have Been Eyeing
And my last recommendation is to pick up any of the ultra luxury or super expensive items that you have been eyeing! Of course none of us want to pay full price for anything, but especially when it comes to something that is already really expensive. For example, I have really been eyeing the Natasha Denona Lila palette but it’s $129!! I definitely could not bring myself to buy that outside of the VIB sale. I actually haven’t been able to bring myself to buy it during the sale but maybe one day!
Definitely double check your wish list and if you have the money, buy the expensive items on your list first!

Definitely don’t feel like you have to go crazy. Its nice to get a bit of an extra discount if you are going to buy the items already but 15% / 20% is really not that much.
