Hi Friends!
I know this collection is a little old… but I noticed that some people are finding these lipsticks at TJ MAXX and Marshalls and I think they are still available at Nordstrom Rack so I figured I still had a little time to write a review! Plus, these are absolutely beautiful lipsticks so if nothing else, I hope you all enjoy looking at the pictures.
So when this set first released, it retailed for $36 but I found it at Nordstrom Rack awhile ago for ~$16. It does come with 5 creamy lipsticks which are mostly nude and then there is one bright red one! When I first saw this set, I nearly died over the packaging! These are probably the most beautiful lipsticks in my collection.
The Packaging
I love the gold tube with the clear cap but what is most appealing is the beautiful rose silhouettes all around the outside of the lipstick. On the inner tube, Lorac and Beauty & The Beast is imprinted. But besides it just being beautiful, I really like that you can see the lipstick color towards the bottom of the tube. It just makes it really easy when grabbing for a lipstick.
The Colors + Swatches
So I already mentioned that there are 5 lipsticks included in this set.
Red Rose – Of course, there had to be a red lipstick in this collection. Is it a Disney Princess related lipstick, or nah? This color is actually REALLY beautiful. It is a perfect bright red shade and it has a sheen so its really comfortable on the lips. I don’t wear red lipstick too often so this isn’t one that I reach for all the time but the couple of times I have worn it so far, I have really liked it.
Tres Chic – This is a plummy brown shade. The swatch looks HORRIBLE but this is actually a pretty nice shade. It is a nice fall shade because I love darker lipsticks during the fall time. This is definitely one that I like to keep a little sheer, I don’t want it to be super opaque.
Belle-ieve – This is my favorite lipstick in the collection! It is a perfect nude for my skin tone. This one is pinky warm cream lipstick. I think it is really beautiful.
True Beauty – This is the lightest lipstick in the collection. It is a soft pink creamy shade. I really like this shade to top on other lipsticks. It isn’t a shade that I usually reach for by itself just because it is a little light.
Savoir Faire – This is a peachy nude creamy shade. I really like this shade but it isn’t my favorite to wear on a daily basis. I think it pulls a little too warm for my skin tone. I like a little bit of a darker nude so you can actually see that I am wearing lipstick. Not just a nude that blends into my skin and also makes me look a little peachy.
Red Rose, Tres Chic, Belle-ieve, True Beauty, and Savoir Faire!
My Review
All of these lipsticks have great color payoff. They don’t go on completely opaque but they can definitely be built up to the full color intensity. Most importantly, I like the way these lipsticks wear! They last a REALLY long time. Most of my morning which is really normal and expected considering that I talk a lot through out the day and constatly drink water and coffee – I don’t mind re-applying in the afternoon.
I also like that they wear off really naturally. I HATE HATE HATE when you have splotches of lipstick leftover on your lips but I didn’t experience that with these lipsticks at all. Even with Red Rose which is incredible.
I think this set is definitely worth it with the discount that I got at Nordstrom Rack. I wouldn’t have bought the set for the original price which was $36. But overall, these are great lipsticks and there is a lot of variety. I am happy to have them in my collection!
Let me know down below what you think of these lipsticks! Did you pick up anything from the Lorac Beauty & the Beast collection? I would love to know!
When this collection first came out I was so obsessed with it lol
