Sephora Makeup that I am NOT Surprised is on Sale Right Now!

I am sure that you have noticed but there is a LOT on sale right now. And I am not sure talking about certain Black Friday / Cyber Monday deals. I am talking about the makeup that has dropped into the sale section of Sephora that is 40-50% off. These are steep discounts to encourage people to buy just so they can deplete stock.

Anyway, there are some items that are on sale right now at Sephora that I am not surprised by AT ALL! Some of these items I even anti-hauled because I was not interested in them. So I am not surprised that others were not interested as well and now they are on sale. So without further ado, here are the items I am NOT surprised are on sale.

Sephora Collection – Once Upon a Night Blockbuster Set

This was definitely in my latest Sephora Anti-Haul post. I still don’t know how to describe this item. It is a mix of products all layed out in the style of a bug. Yes, you read that correctly. Its like a bug or a firefly or something. But regardless of what the shape of this item is, its not a classy, mature makeup item. When I go to Sephora, I want something beautiful. Not only just how it applies to my face but also how it looks in my collection.

I can’t image storing this giant product in my bathroom and beyond all that it normally retails for $49! It just looks really immature for that kind of price. This is something I would by for a young girl just barely getting into makeup but not for nearly $50. Anyway, now it is on sale for $29 which is still too much in my opinion.

Sephora Collection – Wish Upon a Star Advent Calendar

I am not trying to hate on Sephora – you all know how much I LOVE Sephora. But this set is the biggest scam ever! I actually watched a really funny video from Rich Lux where he unboxed this advent calendar. It made me laugh so hard, I really recommend giving it a watch!

I actually saw this while scrolling through the sale section and looked at the items that we included and thought to myself that it wasn’t even worth the sales price ($29). They initially retailed this for $36 but claimed it had a value of $85! That is such a joke! The worst item included in this set is the sponge applicators that used to be included in drugstore makeup palettes. Literally, no one uses those anymore and they are horrible at applying eyeshadow. Its just horrible.

Kat Von D – Fetish Eyeshadow Palette

This is another item on my latest anti-haul post. I mentioned how these shades don’t really call to me. I am not really a fan of the layout or really the theme of the palette. Kat Von D does have really high quality shadows so I am sure if you really liked these colors, then you would like the palette. But I just don’t see myself using this palette at all. It initially retailed for $63 but now it is only $31.50.

Kat Von D – Fetish Blush + Highlighter Palette

Another item from Kat Von D is the Fetish Blush + Highlighter palette. The packaging and the colors of this palette are really intriguing. I don’t think they are very wearable. I ultimately don’t want this palette because I really don’t see myself using it. It is really tempting because I like the packaging but it is too expensive just to have in my collection. I don’t really understand why the highlighter pans are bigger than the blush pans. This palette initially retailed for $43 and now it is on sale for only $21.50!

Tarte Cosmetics – Life of The Party Clay Blush Palette & Clutch

This blush palette / clutch from Tarte actually went on sale during the Rouge sale when it still had the ‘New’ label on it. I think Sephora knew that this item wouldn’t be very appealing to customers right from the beginning. Don’t get me wrong, Tarte has amazing blushes! I really like their blush formula so I think if I bought this palette I would get some use out of it.

What I don’t like about this item is the packaging. I think the blushes being in a clutch is kind of gimmicky. Also that clutch looks like it is a for a 13 year old girl?! I am just not interested in that at all. What am I supposed to do with those blushes if I decide to take them out of the clutch? I just don’t think it is practical at all.

Touch In Sol – Metallist High Shine Bouncy Cream Shadow Palette

When I first saw this palette, I really wanted it! The colors are so PRETTY! They look so metallic and wearable. But it was so expensive! This Metallist High Shine Bouncy Cream Shadow palette initially retailed for $42. And it only comes with 6 shades. It just didn’t make sense to me even though I do think it is so beautiful. I am not surprised it is on sale though because I am sure other people were also thinking that $42 for 6 shades was crazy!

Tarte Cosmetics – Brush Sets

Tarte, stop trying to make brush sets! I feel like I have seen every Tarte brush set on sale at one point or another. Currently the two that are on sale are the Tate Goal Getters Contour Brush Set and the Tarte Let’s Flamingle Brush Set. These brushes just look like they suck. I don’t really get the pineapple brush, what is that supposed to be for? And I don’t like how thick the handles are for the contour brushes. I only have so much room in my brush jars and these would take up way too much room.

Let me know if you have tried Tarte brushes and if they are actually any good? I am really curious!

Urban Decay – Naked Heat Palette

The Urban Decay Naked Heat and the Naked Petite Heat are both 50% off right now which is an incredible deal! I don’t have the full size Naked Heat palette but I do already have the Naked Petite Heat palette and I really like it! I am not surprised that these palettes are on sale though because warm toned shades are really going out of style. Especially these bright orange shades. I think cool toned and purple shadows are more desired shades right now.
