I am finally reviewing the Too Faced It’s Bananas Brightening Setting Powder! I bought this awhile ago from Ulta and had every intention of reviewing it right away but it kept getting pushed back on the to-do list. The It’s Bananas brightening setting powder was released as part of Too Faced’s Tutti Frutti collection. This collection was released in late summer time so I don’t think it was as hyped as it would have been if it were released earlier in summer.
It’s Bananas powder retails for $30 and comes with 10.5 g / .37 oz. of product.
Too Faced has the best packaging! If you can’t already tell, this powder’s packaging is the cutest! IF you don’t know, yellow powder is great for brightening up your complexion and it is commonly called banana powder. So the little bananas all over this packaging is actually so perfect for this product. And how perfect that it is in Too Faced’s Tutti Frutti collection.
This compact is about the size of my palm which is a perfect size, in my opinion. Small enough to travel with but not too small that it is difficult to use. It also is quite slim. What makes the packaging stand above the rest is the little bananas scattered across the lid of the powder and molded IN the powder itself. When you open the compact, there is also little banana sticker on the mirror. Overall, its REALLY cute! I enjoy the packaging a lot.
I, firstly, need to mention that this powder also smells like bananas. It really smells like the Willy Wonka Runts banana candy so it is kind of nostalgic! I personally really like the smell but I know people don’t enjoy their makeup having a scent.
Overall, I really like this powder! It is finally milled so it just sinks into my foundation and gives this velvety complexion. It feels really nice and lightweight on my skin. It just adds this filter to my skin that makes it look healthy and evenly toned. And of course, It’s Bananas is very brightening, especially for the under eye area. I admit that I do have under eye creases but this powder really helps to prevent that.
I also think it is just a great makeup setting powder! It does extend the life of my makeup while keeping my skin looking natural. I highly recommend this powder and I am already thinking of buying a backup but I have so many setting powders. I hope that Too Faced comes out with this permanently It’s really a beautiful product!
Let me know down below what your favorite setting powder is! I would love to know!
