Hi Friends,
I thought I would do something a little bit different today. This year I really want to get in a habit of rotating my makeup and making sure that I use everything. After all, whats the point of having it if you aren’t going to use it?
Every morning I have been taking pictures of my Makeup Of The Day and posting it on my Instagram (@Taylersedit). And I have really been enjoying sharing what I have been using! Plus I just love looking at flat lays of makeup.
So here is all the makeup I have worn this week!
Monday
This was my first day back to work since before Christmas so I was wearing more makeup than I did previously. I was excited to get back into my routine with all of my products at home. I pulled out my favorite Cargo Blush in the Big Easy because its an easy go to. And I also pulled out the Natasha Denona Lila palette, its GORGEOUS!!
Tuesday
I wore makeup this day but I forgot to take a picture. It was a very easy day, we just hung out at a friends house and played games so I wasn’t in full glam.
Wednesday
I finally pulled out the Sugar Peach face palette from Too Faced. I have been testing this palette off and on for awhile and I think I am finally ready to write my review! I also used my new Pat McGrath Bronze Ambition palette for the first time!
Thursday
As you may have seen by now, I am doing a 19 eyeshadows in 2019 challenge. One of the first palettes that I am working on is the Huda Beauty Mauve Obsessions palette. I of course also used the Tarte Amazonian Clay Foundation since it is in my Sample Sunday samples for this week!
Friday
The Anastasia Beverly Hills Subculture palette is also in my Pan that Palette (19 eyeshadows in 2019) challenge so I pulled it out as well to get a good start to the year! Also I am testing out the L’Oreal Paris Rouge Signature lipsticks because I recently received them from Influenster!
I know this is a super underrated foundation, but the Skin Food BB cream foundation has been a lifesaver for me this week! I had a chemical peel last week so my skin has been really dry but this foundation is so hydrating and really helped cover up any flaking skin. (I know, gross).
Saturday
Because I didn’t post the makeup I wore on Tuesday, I figured I would throw in Saturday as well! Today, I also reached for the Subculture palette. And then I randomly pulled out my Maybelline Tattoo Studio Brow Gel – if you read my review of this item, you would know that I didn’t like it that much. I figured it was time to either declutter it or pan it. So I decided to get my use out of it.
As you can see some items I use EVERY single day. I don’t rotate my mascaras because I don’t want any of them to go bad while it takes me time to use all of them up. I like to just stick with two at a time. I also have been continuously using the Kat Von D eyeshadow primer which was in my 7 by New Years project pan.
I have been loving the Too Faced Sugar Peach face & eye palette – as you can see I used it several times this week.
Overall, I think I did a good job of rotating my makeup. I used 4 different foundations, concealers, and eyeshadow palettes, 3 different bronzers and primers, 2 different setting sprays and more. I don’t want to get stuck in a rut with using the same thing every single day, although I do have some favorites. My goal is to rotate everything and also use up the makeup that I already have!
