Hi Friends!
This is the first anti-haul of the year! I think I am going to be posting more anti-hauls this year since I am doing my low buy. I want to stay focused on the beauty products that are already in my collection instead of items that I simply do not need. I have been trying to stay off of Sephora and Ulta’s website but I couldn’t help but notice some new makeup that I have NO interest in.
Just a disclaimer, if you are interested in these items or your already own them then that is great! I am sure some of these products are great but I personally am just not interested in them for one reason or another.
Viseart – Grande Pro Volume 2 Eyeshadow Palette
This palette is just ungodly expensive. I know I have a few Pat McGrath and Natasha Denona palettes so I am not completely against spending a lot of money on an eyeshadow palette – However, I also just don’t think this one is pretty. All of the shadows appear to be shimmery so its not even a one stop palette. I would need to incorporate other palettes every time I used it. And for $175, I am just not willing to do that.
I know Viseart is more of a professional makeup artist brand but considering I am not a professional MUA, I just don’t need this!
Tarte – Tartiest PRO Remix Amazonian Clay Eyeshadow Palette
This one make me feel bad. Tarte has had a rough time over the past year – I feel like customers are crying out to them to take more chances, especially when it comes to incorporating color into their eyeshadow palettes. This is Tarte’s most colorful eyeshadow palette that they’ve ever released but I still think it is kind of boring? I don’t know why but literally NOTHING jumps out to me about this palette.
I also think the packaging is really distracting. I feel like even if I bought this palette, I would never use it. What do you think?
Kaja – Roller Glow Roll-On Highlighting Balm
What even is this? Seriously. It’s a GIMMICK! Kaja has been an up and coming brand in Sephora lately and some of their products look really interesting but this just looks like kid’s makeup to me. It is a roll-on highlighter. Firstly, I don’t want a big strip of highlighter on my face so why would I roll it on? Also, I hate the packaging, it just looks cheap. But this highlighter is $28! I just would never pay that much for something that looks like this.
Fenty Beauty – Powder Puff Setting Brush
I know I said Fenty Beauty was one of the brands that I wanted to try this year but this ain’t it. Fenty just released a few new face brushes along with their brand new concealer and setting powder. They are SO expensive. I am sure they are amazing quality and work really well but at the end of the day it is just a brush. I honestly really like Morphe, Elf, and BH Cosmetics brushes so I don’t feel the need to have expensive ones like this!
I know I only put the powder puff setting brush on this list but I really mean all of the Fenty Beauty brushes that they just released.
BECCA – BECCA x Khloe Kardarshian & Malika Haqq Glow Letters
There are a couple of items that I am really interested in from the BFF collection from BECCA. However, these letters just aren’t up my ally. I LOVE BECCA products so I am sure these are really high quality but they kind of confuse me. Apparently, you can crush them up so you can pick up the powder easily but I don’t want to crush something so pretty. But I also want something that is easy to apply.
Also it is hard to tell from the pictures but the packaging doesn’t appear to clasp. It looks like the lid just slides on so this would be really difficult to store or travel with. I am just not interested.
Physician’s Formula – Butter Collection x Casey Holmes
I know this one might be controversial because it involves a beauty influencer but the reason why I am not interested in this product is not because of Casey Holmes or really even Physician’s Formula. I have a couple of Physician’s Formula products and LOVE them. Particularly the Butter Bronzer (of course)!
I don’t like this butter collection set because of the packaging! It is so unnecessarily bulky. I don’t like when packaging is carved out for extra products. In this set, there is a lip balm and a perfume and sit inside the cardboard. The first thing I would do is take those items out so then it just leaves all this extra space for nothing?
And then there are only 3 face powders and 4 eyeshadows. I just feel like it is such a waste – I would NEVER reach for this. Even though I actually may love the products. Okay, packaging rant over.
Well, that is it for me today! I know I rambled on but I wanted to explain why I really wasn’t interested in any of these products. I ultimately don’t need anymore random beauty items in my collection. I want to curate it to things that I will actually use and enjoy!
Let me know if you feel the same way down below! Or let me know why you disagree! I would love to know your thoughts.

I pretty much echo these sentiments. I would never get such an expensive palette as that big viseart one even though I do love their formulas. I feel like this shimmery one is supposed to complement the all matte one they released though. So that with these two palettes a professional MUA would have all they need. Tarte just needs a complete overhaul or a new creative director or something. I like the idea of the Becca product, I used to love those bronzing balls that you could just brush all over for sparkle, but today there are many other products like that. The other products are definitely also a no for me

Yes, you are so right about Viseart. I understand that this could definitely be a great palette for professional MUAs, it just doesn’t make sense for my collection! Tarte seriously needs an overhaul… I felt bad because I see that they are trying but its just not working. LOL, I’m so glad I’m not the only one that is not interested in these products! 🙂

Omg I read your words under the Tarte palette and literally cracked up. Took the words right out of my mouth and I feel bad about it too 😂🤷🙊

Great Anti Haul, I’m not planning on buying any of these either! The physicians formula is a hard no for me, I’m not interested in their eyeshadows at all after I bought the Sultry Nights butter eyeshadow palette and hated it so much that I returned it.

Oh really?? I have never used their eyeshadows but I will keep that in mind! I was actually interested because they look so creamy but thats good to know.

The mattes in the palette were actually good! I think if they released an all matte palette I might buy it, it was the shimmers that were the deal breaker. They’re just so gritty, hard to blend and more like a pressed glitter than an eyeshadow :S

That’s interesting because I have heard that shimmers are easier to make so they should be better than mattes!! But I hate if its gritty, that is too hard to work with.

You’d think, I don’t know what they did with these shimmers but they’re really hard to work with 🙁
