Hi Friends!
I didn’t expect to be ready for an update so early in the year but this project has actually been going REALLY WELL!! If you weren’t already aware, I made a post towards the beginning of the year in which I set a goal to hit pan on 19 eyeshadows in 19 different palettes! This is an attempt to shop my stash / actually rotate around my collection.
Last year, I decided to do a Pan That Palette with the Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance and although I made great progress, I was also extremely bored. I felt like I was neglecting my other eyeshadow palettes and ultimately it just got kind of frustrating.
But these year, I am already well on my way on hitting pan in 19 different palettes! I started with 3 palettes to focus on and all of those already have pan!
Anastasia Beverly Hills Subculture Palette
This was the first palette that I hit pan on this year! I have to admit that it was EXTREMELY easy since the shadows are so powdery and I picked a really basic shade. As you can see from the picture, I chose Dawn to focus on and it only took about 13-15 uses to accomplish my goal. I am so happy that I brought the Subculture palette into this challenge – otherwise it would have just been collecting dust!
Huda Beauty Mauve Obsessions Palette
The next pan that I hit was the 6th shade in the Huda Beauty Mauve Obsessions Palette. I was basically using this shade as my transition shade in every eye look. I was super dedicated because I honestly thought it would take longer to hit pan. This shade also was somewhat powdery (not Subculture powdery) but it ended up only taking me until the end of January to hit pan.
Maybelline Soda Pop Palette
I also hit pan on my Maybelline Soda Pop palette! Its annoying because this one is a little hard to see because the shade I hit pan on is so close to the pan color. I am actually really proud of this pan though since it is a shimmer which are generally harder shades to hit pan on (for me). I loved using Soda Fizz though, this is my favorite shade in the palette! I used it almost everyday on my lower lash line!
BONUS PAN!
Guys, I told you I was doing so well! Not only did I hit pan on all three palettes that I put into the project but I also hit pan on TWO other palettes this year!
Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette
It was actually such a challenge to hit pan on the Too Faced Chocolate Bar palette! Too Faced has very dense eyeshadows. I was actually using this matte cream shade (white chocolate) for a while even in 2018. I used this shade everyday to set my eyeshadow primer.
Maybelline Lemonade Craze Palette
After I hit pan on the Chocolate Bar matte cream shade, I moved on to Sunnies in the Maybelline Lemonade Craze palette! Sunnies is another matte cream shade. I will probably hit several more matte cream shades this year since I use it everyday! I was actually pretty surprised when I hit pan since it didn’t take too long. Probably only a couple of weeks.
Here are the palettes that I am rolling into this project!
ColourPop x Kathleen Lights Dream St. Palette
I rolled the ColourPop Dream St. palette into this project a few weeks ago. I have been working on hitting pan on the Magical shade just because it is a basic light matte shadow that is easy to incorporate into every eye look! Someone told me on Instagram that it only took them a few months to hit pan on this shade.
Juvia’s Place The Nubian Palette
I am so excited to be including the Juvia’s Place The Nubian palette! I haven’t come anywhere close to hitting pan on any of my Juvia’s Place palettes and they definitely don’t get enough attention overall. I chose the Nubian because it’s the most usable palette from Juvia’s Place so I think I can hit pan.
Dominique Cosmetics Lemonade Palette
The Dominique Cosmetics Lemonade palette hasn’t been rolled into this project yet but I would really like to hit pan on this palette this year! It was one of my FAVORITES in 2018 and I would love to show some great progress on it.
Well that is it for me today! So far (as you can see) I have hit pan on 5 eyeshadows so far this year. My goal is 19, so I only have 14 left! At this rate, I will be done by May! I think if I finish the 19 shades, I will get keep going! It would be amazing if I could hit even more pan this year!
Let me know if you are doing a project pan or pan that palette this year – I would LOVE to follow along!
Amazing

You have had such AMAZING progress!! In terms of the two Maybelline Palettes, which one is your favorite? I had been eyeing both at one point but couldn’t decide to I didn’t grab either palette haha.
Also, I’m curious where you picked up your Dominique Cosmetics Palette? That was one palette that I was really wanting to try last year, but I hesitated since I heard some online chatter that certain batches had a formulation issue.

Thank you! I was surprised by how much progress I made to be honest!
For the Maybelline palettes, you really can’t go wrong with either. They are both great (I have reviews up for each of them). I think the Soda Pop is my favorite for this time of year because I am really loving purples but I think once summer gets closer, I will be more into the Lemonade Craze one! Totally your preference on the colors because they perform the same!
HAHA – funny that you mention the batch issue. I was one of the first to order the Lemonade palette from Dominique Cosmetics brand website. It came out before they were in Sephora. They said that the initial batch of palettes had a “pressing” issue so they resent me another palette (so I actually have two). They perform the same though, I LOVE them both. I reviewed the original palette before they announced the pressing issue and then I ended up reviewing the new palette that they sent me.
