Hi Friends!
I thought I would share another Shop My Stash post for March! I have been loving rotating my collection around. I am mainly rotating my eyeshadow palettes because I LITERALLY have so many. For the other makeup items in my routine, I am doing some rotation but I am also focusing on certain products to try to use them up (AKA my project pan items).
I thought I would write this post a little bit differently than I normally do. The past couple of months, I just showed 5-6 days of makeup and then talked about the products that I used each day. But for this post, I decided to break it up based on the different steps in my routine. Let me know what you think!
Primer
I have been focusing on a couple of different primers this one! I have been testing out the Ole Henriksen Banana Bright Face Primer but I also was working on a couple of primers for my project pan which were the ELF Hydrating Primer and the BECCA Blur Primer. I am going to be writing a review on the Ole Henriksen one very soon so I don’t want to give too much away but I have been enjoying it!
Foundation
I have been going SO HAM on my Covergirl Healthy Elixir Foundation! I have of course dipped into some other foundations but really nothing compared to the Healthy Elixir. This is one of my all time favorite drugstore foundations and foundations in general. Its just a really beautiful product and I love using it.
Concealer
There are a few concealers that I used throughout the month of March. A new one to my collection was the Makeup Revolution Conceal & Define Full Coverage Concealer, its AMAZING!! I have also been using the Kat Von D Lock It Concealer which I also really like!
Setting Powder
I am so happy to share (again) that I have completely used up my Covergirl Professional Setting Powder which was in my project pan for over a year! But right after I used that up, I dipped into the Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Finish powder to set my face. I also want to write a review on this powder very soon. I surprisingly have some mixed feelings on it right now.
Bronzer & Blush & Highlighter
Towards the end of the month, I have been non-stop using the Benefit Cosmetics Cheek Parade palette. I absolutely LOVE this palette and really want to buy the new Cheerleaders one but I need to get more use out of the ones that I already have before I buy anything new. I also dipped into the Too Faced Beach Bunny bronzer a lot because I am still trying to hit pan on it! And for blush, I reached for the Milani powder blush in Tea Rose quite a bit!
Also, let’s be honest on highlighter. I have been using my Natasha Denona Blush & Glow highlighter NONSTOP! I LOVE this highlighter. I did use a couple of other highlighters but literally only a couple of days for the whole month.
Eyeshadow Palettes
As you can see from all of my pictures in this post, I have been using several different palettes throughout the month. I finally dipped back into my Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance palette after SO LONG! You may recall that this palette was my 2018 Pan that Palette so I think I was a little tired of using it. But when I re-used this month, it reminded me how much I love it.
I then also dipped into the Lemonade palette from Dominique Cosmetics! I am ready for spring and summer to be in this palette all the time!
David and I travelled to Minnesota this month to go visit some of his family and I took the Too Faced Razzle Dazzle Berry and Sparkling Pineapple as my travel palettes. So far I am enjoying both of them but I still have some testing before I can write a review.
Of course, I have also been using my Pan that Palette palettes as well! I am so close to hitting pan on the ColourPop x Kathleen Lights Dream St. palette!
Brow Products
The Eyelure Brow Pencil is LITERALLY the never ending brow pencil. I have been using this pencil EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. for well over a year and it is still going strong. Most of the month, I was also using the BrowGal by Tonya Crooks brow gel. It started to get a little dirty though so I figured it was time to throw it away. I am now working on the Maybelline Tattoo Studio brow gel which is in my #TEAMPROJECTPAN for the next three months.
Setting Spray
I was pretty determined to use up the Wet N Wild Natural Finish setting spray but once I did that I went back to my all time favorite setting spray. Which is the Morphe Continuous Setting Spray! And then I also pulled out the Too Faced Mattifying Setting Spray which I have been loving using!
Mascara
I finally used up my Rimmel London Scandal-eyes mascara and the L’Oreal Lash Paradise Mascara so now I am using the Hourglass Caution Extreme Lash Mascara. This is just a mini but I have really been liking it!
I did use a couple of other products throughout the month, like eyeshadow primer, lipstick, etc. But these are my major categories that I wanted to talk about. You can definitely tell that I have been rotating throw my collection. I HAVE a lot of makeup that I haven’t even touched but sometimes it makes sense to just focus on one item at a time. Looking at this post, I honestly feel like I need to mix it up even more. What do you think?
Let me know down below if you have a large makeup collection and how you rotate between your products? I would REALLY REALLY love to know.
BTW! All of these pictures are on my Instagram, I try to post my Makeup of the Day everyday so follow me if you want to see more!

So what are your thoughts on the jaclyn hill palette, that purple one?

I think the purple one is the best out of all 4! It is a really nice palette for the price. Its not my favorite palette of all time and it isn’t as good as the regular Jaclyn Hill palette but I still really like it!!

So I actually don’t do a terrible job of rotating my collection, but I know there are products I neglect. But normally when I’m bored at work, I daydream what kind of look I want to do for my Instagram, and then I think about what I have in my collection to best make that look lol. I have a terrible memory except when it comes to makeup 😂 I have a million palettes but I can typically remember what palettes I have with what shades.

LOL – you crack me up. I seem to remember the most when it comes to my makeup collection too. That’s good that you rotate around too!

Loved that you’ve been rotating your eyeshadow palettes to try to get an even use out of them I think I need to do that more with mine lol
Nicely done!

Thank you!! Its really hard because I keep wanting to reach for my favorites and I also get a little overwhelmed from so many choices but I am definitely trying to touch everything. Good luck – let me know if you have a good strategy to rotating through everything!

Omg I’m the same way! LOL
And the only “strategy” I have, if I can even call it that, is picking palettes that sort of reflect the current season and/or weather. Even though it’s spring, it’s been really rainy and cloudy. So I’m still reaching for my Ulta Rose Gold palette, has lots of cool toned shades. Pretty soon I”m going to switch over to warmer toned shades to reflect the warmer weather and possibly switch to a peachy palette for the summer lol. Then back to darker, fall colors in Autumn 🙂

That’s a great strategy!! That way you can rotate through everything and know what works best for each time of year. I am definitely pulling out my spring / summer palettes more now!
