Hi Friends!
We are back at it again with another ‘Makeup I’ve Worn This Month’ post! If you have been following me this year, then you would know that my goal is to appreciate what I have and rotate my makeup around and really get some good use out of everything!
It actually isn’t as easy as it sounds. I have a lot of makeup and some of it goes untouched each month but slowly I am working through everything. Eventually, I will get there! I think this month has been pretty good with rotation! But I have also hit pan on several items this week (check out my Instagram @taylersedit to see all the pan)!
Primer
This month I mixed around my primer a little bit. I focused a little bit on my Becca Cosmetics Velvet Blurring Primer because it is in my #TEAMPROJECTPAN right now. But I also pulled out a new primer in my collection from L’Oreal Makeup called the Magic Perfecting Base. Both of these are blurring primers and I really enjoyed using them both.
I also used my Wet n Wild Photofocus Primer Water Spray over the blurring primers just for some extra prime(?). This spray is also in my project pan right now but I didn’t include it in my pictures because I didn’t want it to seem extra on my Instagram. As if all of my makeup routine isn’t extra.
Foundation & Concealer
I was SOOOOO dedicated to my Covergirl Vitalist Healthy Elixir foundation this month. I actually only used a different foundation while I was in Arizona and that is because the Healthy Elixir foundation is getting so close to running out. I will definitely be done with it by my next project pan update.
Also if you are wondering, I took the Maybelline Fit Me dewy foundation with me to Arizona!
For concealer, I mainly used my Kat Von D Lock-It concealer because its in my project pan. I am really surprised that I haven’t shown much progress on it this past month because I use it so much! I did however use the new Morphe concealer a bit because I am testing it out.
Setting Powder
I pretty much used my Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Finish Powder most of the month and hit pan on it very easily. I recently reviewed that setting powder and unfortunately it just isn’t worth the money. I took a step back from using it everyday because I don’t want to use it all up. I am not consistently using the Wet N Wild Contouring palette to set my entire face.
Bronzer, Blush, & Highlighter
For bronzer, I have used a variety of different ones. There were days that I used my Hourglass Ambient Light Bronzer and other days that I just used my Wet N Wild Contouring palette. But I am so happy to also say that I used my Too Faced Beach Bunny bronzer and I finally hit pan on it! If you remember, I threw the Beach Bunny bronzer into my 7 my New Years project pan and thought I would hit pan. It took so many more uses then I expected to hit pan on it. But I am so happy I finally reached my goal.
Blush has also been a little bit of everything. Towards the beginning of the month, I used the Tarte Cosmetics Tarteist Pro Glow & Blush palette for my bronzer, blush, and highlighter! This is a REALLY beautiful palette (review coming soon!). I also used a bit of my Tarte Paaarty blush which I hadn’t used in awhile but it was a nice travel blush! I also of course used my new ColourPop Count Me In Super Shock Cheek Blush from their spring collection.
For highlighter, I used the highlighter from the Tarte Tarteist Pro Glow & Glush palette a couple of times. And then I pulled in the Jouer Rose Gold powder highlighter to test out. And then of course, I used my FAVORITE highlight of all time from Natasha Denona.
Eyeshadow & Eyeshadow Primer
My FAVORITE party of my routine is definitely my eyeshadow. I used the Too Faced Shadow Insurance every singe day because it is in my project pan (haha, why else?). It’s a pretty good primer, definitely better than not using primer!
On to the actual eyeshadow palettes, I used the new ColourPop Sweet Talk palette towards the beginning of the month. I really wanted to get a good feel for it so used it for several days. It looks really pretty with the Tarte blush palette! I also used the ColourPop Rendezvous palette! Seriously, it might be my favorite palette from ColourPop of all time. Its GORGEOUS!
I also used the Dose Of Colors Friendcation palette a lot because I took it to Arizona with me! And then towards the end of the month, I was using the new Anastasia Beverly Hills Rivieria palette. I picked it up during the Ulta 20% off sale so couldn’t wait to dig into it!
Setting Spray
Pretty much all month, I used the Too Faced Peach Mist and the Too Faced Hangover Rx setting sprays. I just have the deluxe sizes so they are easy to travel with and use on an everyday basis! Nothing too exciting in this category.
Eyebrow Pencil + Gel
Also, not a very exciting category is my eyebrows. I have been using the Eyelure eyebrow pencil for well over a year nonstop. It amazes me how long it is lasting. Something I just want to throw it away though. And then of course, I have been using my Maybelline Tattoo Studio Brow Gel because it is in my project pan. I hope I can use it completely up in a couple of months!
Mascara
And lastly, for mascara, I used up the Hourglass Caution mascara towards the beginning of the month and then I pulled in the Urban Decay Perversion mascara. Both of them came in a Sephora Favorites set so I have been testing them out to decide which one I should get a full size of.
Well that is pretty much all of the makeup I wore this past month! I didn’t include my lipsticks in this list because I always forget to add them to my Instagram pictures each day. I usually don’t know what I am going to wear until I am headed out the door. And sometimes I don’t wear lipstick at all.
As you can see, I have used a lot of different products this month! I think the way I am rotating around is getting better. But if you have suggestions of how you rotate your makeup collection around, I would love to hear them!
Please let me know if you see any of your favorite products above! I would love to know what makeup you have been loving!
I love this! I’m thinking about getting that Sephora mascara set to try out some new mascaras because I’ve had my eye on that Hourglass mascara for a while. XO Emma|Canvas of a Face

The Sephora mascara sets are so worth it! Because the minis last like a month year and then you get a full size mascara with it that can last 3-6 months by its self. You get like a whole year of mascara for ~$25! Its a really good deal! And the Hourglass one is really good!

The Sweet Talk Palette was def my most used palette in April – partially because I love it and partially because I kept forgetting to take photographs of my looks lol! I’m so intrigued my the Rendezvous palette though – looks super gorgeous in all your flat lays!
