Juvia’s Place: The Tribe Palette Review and Swatches!

Hi Friends!

Today we are talking about the (semi) new Tribe palette from Juvia’s Place! I have been a big fan of Juvia’s Place for awhile and am always so excited for one of they’re new releases! I am instantly drawn to the Tribe palette because of the unique color scheme. I think green eyeshadows are really pretty right now! And of course, this palette is more than just green!

The Tribe palette is sold at Ulta and directly on JP’s website and retails for $20! There are 9 eyeshadows, 4 shimmer shades, and 5 matte shades! The pans are HUGE and contain 32.4 grams in total! That is a lot of eyeshadow.

Juvia’s Place always adds a message on the back of their palette boxes. One the Tribe box it says “A one of a kind true embodiment of beauty at it’s finest. Together we stand strong, confident, and bold.”

Another benefit of this palette is that it is cruelty free!

The Packaging

I love Juvia’s Place packaging because they always have the most vibrant colors and interesting art! The palette is vibrant neon matte green color and then there are two tribal women printed on the front. There is so much details into the artwork that it is hard to describe.

The same women appear on the inside of the palette on the lid where a mirror would typically appear. There isn’t a mirror for this palette but that doesn’t really bother me.

On the inside where the eyeshadows sit, the background is a bright gold metallic color. Its so pretty!

The Shades and Swatches

In the first row, you have:

Maasai – This is a light lime green / yellow matte shade! This isn’t my favorite green shade in the world but I do like it as a transition shade for Tutsi which is the other green shade in this palette.

Oromo – This is a matte true orange shadow. Its very pigmented and pretty but I haven’t been into orange shades really. It does help make this palette a little more neutral though.

Tutsi – My favorite green is this dark lime green matte shade! This is the green that makes this palette so exciting! It is so true to color in the pan – I really like the way it looks on the eyes!

In the second row, you have:

Koro – One of the more unique shades in this palette is Koro. This is a white shimmer shadow with gold and green undertones. It has a unique shift to it when you look at it in different lights.

Chaga – This is a bronze shimmer shadow with a gold reflect! It’s a really pretty shade for all over the lid!

Kuba – This is a dark navy blue with a teal shift! It’s a pretty shade but too dark for everyday use (in my opinion).

In the third row, you have:

Ashanti – This is a medium warm tone brown matte shadow. This shadow has been perfect to keep my eye looks more natural. I mainly use it as an outer corner deepening shade.

Kuria – The last shimmer in the palette is this bright shimmery orange shadow. It’s a really pretty shade for all over the lid!

San – And lastly, this is a dark emerald green / blue shadow. I have used this shadow to deepen up the outer corner and I really liked the way it turned out!

My Review

This palette is beautiful and really fun! The quality is excellent for such an affordable palette! I don’t think this is palette to use by itself all the time, I definitely would reach for it to incorporate one or two shades at a time. Don’t get me wrong, you can get a full look from this palette!

I really like the mix of colors in this palette, you can get a really fun green look or a somewhat neutral look. I REALLY like the Koro and Tutsi shadows – they’re so fun and unique!

I highly recommend this palette if you want to try out something different! I think greens are definitely going to be one of the colors of the year! And if you haven’t tried anything from Juvia’s Place, then go check out this palette!

Have you tried anything from Juvia’s Place before? What do you think of this palette? I would LOVE to know!

  1. This is a stunning palette. I love the overall green color scheme; some of these shades I don’t think I’ve seen in a palette before quite like it. Wonderful, in-depth post!
