Makeup I’ve Worn This Month | Shop My Stash May 2019

Hi Friends!

I can’t believe another month has come and gone but I wanted to take some time to reflect on May and share some makeup that I have been enjoying! If you have read my other Shop My Stash posts then you would know that I am working on appreciating makeup that I already have!   Of course, I have a lot of makeup so it does take effort to make sure that I am rotating through it all.

Primer, Foundation, & Concealer

This month I really only focused on a few primers. I am working to use up the BECCA Velvet Blur Primer since it is in my #TEAMPROJECTPAN project right now. I’ve used it a lot this month and think I am almost done with it! I have also been using the new Beauty Blender The Leveler primer. I am still testing it out before I form a full opinion but so far I really like it! It’s a good pore-filling primer.

For foundation, I used up my Covergirl Healthy Elixir Foundation at the very beginning of the month! I then moved to my Too Faced Peach Perfect foundation and used it for 2 weeks straight. I missed using that foundation so much – it is my absolute favorite for so many reasons.  And its perfect for this time of year because it has a matte finish.

I also used the Anastasia Beverly Hills stick foundation. This is something I have had in my collection for a long time but didn’t get much use of it before. I figured it was finally time to use is and get a feel of how I like it.

I really only used a few concealers this month. One of them was my Kat Von D Lock-It concealer because I am working on using it up. But I also used the Makeup Revolution Conceal & Define Concealer while I was travelling.

Setting Powder

I pretty much exclusively used the Too Faced Peach Perfect setting powder. It is another absolute favorite of mine. I have had such a hard time putting it away because I love it so much. I only took a break from this powder when I was in Albuquerque visiting my grandparents. I used the BECCA Be A Light Palette as a travel palette since its easier to pack and use while on the go!

Bronzer, Blush, and Highlight

My go to bronzer has been a mini for the Benefit Hoola Bronzer. I am hoping to use up one of the minis that I have this year since I have like three of them! This is one of my favorite bronzers so it shouldn’t be a problem but I know even a mini can take awhile to use up. And then of course I used the BECCA Be A Light palette while I was travelling.

For blush, I primarily used the my beloved Natasha Denona Blush & Glow. This has been a focus product in my project pan. I mainly wanted to hit pan in the highlighter (which I did) and then I wanted to make some progress on the blush which I am trying to do.

For highlighter, I have been obsessed with my ColourPop Hades (Everybody’s Got a Weakness) highlighter! I am working on posting my review very soon because I’ve been using it non-stop. I also used the highlighter from the Blush & Glow a bit because that is my favorite highlighter of all time.

Eyeshadow Primer & Palettes

All month long, I used my Too Faced Shadow Insurance eyeshadow primer. It is just something I am trying to use up. My favorite part of my makeup routine is my eyeshadow though! This month I used so many amazing palettes. I started off the month with the Anastasia Beverly Hills Norvina palette. I wanted to pull it out because its one of my favorites and it had been awhile since I used it.

I brought two palettes with me to Albuqueque because I wanted to have some variety! I took the Violet Voss Crème Brulee and the Berry Burst fun sized palettes! They are perfect travel palettes since they have 10 shades but are so small! I enjoyed using both of them this month.

I then pulled out the Juvia’s Place Tribe palette which is one of their newest palettes! I have been loving greens so this one was so much fun to play around with. The colors are so unique and pretty – its probably one of my favorite Juvia’s Place palettes.

Next, I used the Lime Crime Venus XL II palette! I absolutely love this palette, it has the perfect color scheme for this time of year and the shadows are so beautiful. I have finally decided how I feel about this palette so I will be writing a review very soon!

And lastly, I used the ABH Soft Glam towards the end of this month. This is a palette that I threw into my 19 eyeshadows in 2019 project pan! Its just been an easy go to palette for me lately. Its also one of my all time favorites!

Also I want to shout out my Thrive Causemetics Eye Brightener because I have literally been using it every single day. It’s a beautiful inner corner highlight!

Eyebrow Pencil & Gel

Just like last month – this category is not very exciting. I have been continuing to use my Eyelure eyebrow pencil which is literally NEVER ENDING! And then I also used my Maybelline Tattoo Studio Brow Gel all month because I am working on using it completely up.

Mascara

I have been working through the mini mascaras from a Sephora Favorites set. This month I actually used up the Urban Decay Perversion mascara so I started using the mini Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes mascara. Both are pretty good mascaras but nothing amazing!

Setting Spray

All month long I have used the ABH Dewy Set setting spray! It has quickly become my favorite setting spray. I can’t seem to put it down although I know I need to rotate a bit more. Its just so good.

Well that is about it for me this month! I have used a LOT of products this month but I am happy to see so much use in my collection. Next month I hope to mix it up even more, especially with my face products. Its hard to try a balance between using products up / making progress on them and rotating through all of my products.

I also bought a lot of eyeshadow palettes during the Ulta & Sephora Memorial Day sale so I need to balance those in my collection now. I’m so excited!

What Do You Think?

I would LOVE to know how you rotate your makeup! Especially if you have a large collection like I do. Also did you see any products that you like this month? Let me know if you would like a review of any of the items shown above!

  1. I’m so impressed with how much you used this month – I’m so bad with swapping out different primers / base products, but I’d love to eventually move to doing a complete weekly makeup basket swap every month! I’m so intrigued by Lime Crime – I kinda wish I picked something up during their 75% Off sale.
