Hi Friends!
It is time for another makeup declutter! I did a small declutter at the beginning of 2019 and it is time to get rid of a few more items. These are items that have just been sitting in my collection and not getting a lot of use. Some of them are just too bulky to keep around as I am trying to make room for new items.
Decluttering is generally hard for me because I love makeup and I like to think that I will use it all but its just not realistic. So these items have to go!
Stowaway Cosmetics The Dawn To Dusk Palette
I actually really like this little palette from Stowaway Cosmetics! I got this palette in a PopSugar Must Have box awhile ago and I used it a ton! You can see that I hit pan in the matte cream shade and I am close to hitting pan in the bronze shimmer shade.
I just never reach for this palette anymore. I need to clear some space out of my palette storage because I have SO MANY new palettes now and this one will never get enough love. I have these shades over and over again and would rather reach for my higher end palettes than this. Even though this is quite an expensive palette for how small it is ($20).
Its just time to get rid of this little palette!
MAC Pro Longwear Concealer
My mom let me raid her makeup collection not too long ago and this is one of the items that I took. I haven’t even used it though. I noticed that the concealer is starting to clump up so it just seems too old to actually use. I have no clue how old it actually is though.
I really only have a few MAC items but is this something I should keep to eventually Back To MAC? I have never done that before but let me know if you think its worth it.
NYX All Over Balm
This NYX All Over Balm is so greasy! I bought it at Nordstrom Rack because I just thought it would be good to throw in my purse and use when I need some extra moisture on my hands or body or lips even. But its so greasy! I can’t stand anything greasy on my hands, especially when I am always on my phone or typing.
It doesn’t really sink into the skin or add any moisture. I just never use this balm so its time to let it go!
Laura Geller Waterproof Eye Spackle
I think I stole this from my sister like YEARS AGO because I have no clue where this came from. I have used it several times and it works pretty good as an eyeshadow primer but it is definitely getting old. When you roll up the primer, it comes out chunky and darker than it used to. I just don’t feel comfortable putting it on my lids so its time to toss it!
Smashbox #Shapematters Eyeshadow Palette
Do you know how hard it is for me to get rid of an eyeshadow palette?! Its really hard for me to pass on this Smashbox palette but it sucks! I bought this palette at TJ MAXX so at least I got it on a discount.
There are a couple of shades that I like but others are dry and patchy. I expected it to be a lot better since Smashbox is a high end brand and even though this palette was at TJ MAXX, it wasn’t cheap. I really like the large mirror in this palette but the packaging is also just bulky.
I am debating depotting the shades that I do like and getting rid of the rest. Let me know what you think I should do! I am definitely getting rid of this one way or another.
ColourPop No Filter Foundation
When I ordered this foundation, it actually came broken from ColourPop. The lid and the spring are broken so you can’t dispense any of the foundation. ColourPop ended up sending me a replacement which works as expected. But if you read my review of this No Filter Foundation than you would know that I didn’t like it that much.
I am keeping the functioning bottle for now but definitely want to get rid of this broken one. Its not worth trying to get the foundation out of the bottle because I have so many other foundations that I would rather be using.
NYX Cream Blush in Tickled
This is another hard declutter for me too because this blush is really pretty! I really like the peachy shimmer color. And although I like the colors, the blush is a little tacky when on the cheeks. I rarely ever use cream blushes but if I am reaching for a cream blush, I would rather use my Too Faced Peach My Cheeks blushes.
I just need to remind myself that I am never going to use this blush so there is no point in keeping it.
NYX Love You So Mochi Highlighting Palette
I swear I am not picking on NYX! I impulse bought this highlighter trio because it was on sale at Target and I immensely regret it! It was about $10 on sale and I never reach for these highlighters.
All three are very glittery which isn’t always flattering on the skin. But truthfully, if I am going to reach for a glittery highlight, I am going to reach for my Anastasia Beverly Hills Aurora palette. I just like those highlighters so much more. The NYX ones aren’t bad but they aren’t what I am looking for.
Laura Geller Glam on the Go Travel Palette
I have NEVER used this palette. This was also a TJ MAXX find and I was just excited to find a “high end” palette that I snapped it up but this palette is just annoying to me. It only has 3 eyeshadows and they are all shimmers. Just swatching them, they seem really nice. I really like the Sable shade but I cannot justifly the whole palette for just that one shade.
This palette also has a highlighter and a blush / bronzer. They both seem pretty nice when you swatch them but I will never reach for this palette to use that particular highlighter or blush. The lipgloss is just whatever to me as well.
The packaging is so bulky and not worth the space in my collection so it is time to get rid of it!
Make Up For Ever Artistic Palette
Another bulky palette is this Make Up For Ever Artistic Palette. This one is particuarly frustrating to me because its so big! 90% of the space in the palette is just foam. There are only 9 shadows in the entire tin and they hardly take up any space.
For now, I have depotted the shadows and put them in a magnetic palette. I am not sure if I am going to declutter all of them yet but I am for sure getting rid of this packaging!
Well, that’s it for me today!I am definitely happy to be passing these items on / tossing them out. My makeup collection has expanded like crazy so I just don’t have time or space to hold onto anything that I am not using or planning on using anytime soon. Declutters are generally pretty hard for me though!

Some of these products definitely needed to be decluttered, you must feel so much better after doing some Spring cleaning! I don’t really like that ColourPop foundation either but it’s in my project pan so I’d feel bad just throwing it out. Maybe next year if I don’t finish it!
