Hi Friends!
Today, I have an update to my 2019 Project Pan! I posted my last update and my introduction into the 9 items that I am going to talk about today back in March so its been awhile. If you didn’t know, I joined into the #TEAMPROJECTPAN which is a group project pan that runs for 3 months at a time. Essentially you focus on a select amount of items for 3 months and then you can switch them out at the end of the cycle.
This round, I unfortunately don’t have very many empties. However, I have been consistently working on all of these items so they should be empties soon. Some of these items, I can’t believe how long they are taking to finish up and the progress seems very minimal. Let’s jump into it!
Let’s talk about the empties first!
Covergirl Vitalist Healthy Elixir Foundation
I finally finished this foundation! If you remember, I have had the Covergirl Healthy Elixir foundation in my project pan since the beginning of the year. I love this foundation and I already have a backup! I didn’t mind using this foundation every single day because it really is one of my favorites. I have way too many foundations though so I am glad to roll this out of my collection!
GlamGlow ThirstyMud Hydrating Treatment
My second empty is the GlamGlow ThirstyMud Hydrating Treatment mask! I also have way too many masks, so this is great to finish up. So far I have thrown in a different mask to use up for each quarter this year and I think it is helping to focus just on one for a certain amount of time.
I really really liked this mask – it smells so good and truly is so hydrating! I don’t think I would fork up the $59 for the full size but I definitely enjoyed this deluxe sample.
Now for the items that I haven’t finished…
BECCA Velvet Blurring Primer
I am SO CLOSE to finishing the BECCA Velvet Blurring Primer! Its hard to tell exactly how much is left but I think I am more than 50% done with it. I usually use my daily primer in my T-zone and this on my cheeks and my forehead. So I have been getting daily usage. This sample is just okay to me – I definitely have others that I like more and that have a better blurring affect but its not completely bad. I even have other BECCA primers that I like more! I received this primer as a gift with purchase so I don’t mind just quickly using it up and getting rid of it.
Wet n Wild Photofocus Primer Water Spray
This was a bit of a fail for me. I think I used up about 1/4 of it but again, its hard to tell exactly. Towards the beginning of the project, I was using this everyday but I eventually put it away altogether. I don’t think this primer water does anything for my skin or my makeup besides adding a little bit of hydration. I am going to continue panning this water spray just unoffically!
Kat Von D Lock-It Concealer
I can’t believe how little progress this concealer has – I have been using it almost every single day and its still more than half full! I even used this Kat Von D Lock-It Concealer a ton before starting the project. I feel like it is going to last forever. I am not sure if I use power through using this concealer or if I should mix it up more. Let me know what you think down below!
I do love this concealer so I don’t mind using it everyday but it would be nice to change it up a bit more.
Too Faced Shadow Insurance
I knew when I started this project that I likely wouldn’t finish up a eye primer in 3 months even though this is just a deluxe size. I have used it every single day as well and have a little bit more than half way to go. It’s a decent primer, definitely does the job of keeping eyeshadow on your lids all day long. I think I like the Urban Decay Shadow Potion just a little bit better but this one is still good. I am going to continue working on this one, just unofficially.
Thrive Causemetics Brilliant Eye Brightener in Stella
This was another item that I didn’t expect to finish but just wanted to see some progress on. I definitely do see progress but it is still a long way from being completely used up. I have been using it every day as an inner corner highlight and then occasionally as a brow bone highlight. Its so pretty.
Thrive has also been SO SUPPORTIVE on Instagram. I tag them every single day in my Makeup Of The Day posts and they always like and comment. It makes me like the brand that much more!
I am going to continue using this eye brightening stick as well but I am also removing it from this project pan. Hopefully I can finish it up this year though.
Maybelline Tattoo Studio Brow Gel
I also used the Maybelline Tattoo Studio every single day as my brow gel. This is an item that I received from Influenster and I didn’t like it at first. One of the things I didn’t like about it was how much product clung to the brush when you pulled it out – it made it very difficult to brush through my brow hairs. Now that there is less product in the tube, I am liking this brow gel more and more!
Its so hard to tell how much I have used up but I think I have a few more months with this brow gel. I am going to try to use it completely up instead of just tossing it like I mentioned before.
Natasha Denona Blush & Glow Duo
Ending on a GOOD NOTE – I hit pan on the highlighter in the Natasha Denona Blush & Glow duo! And look how big that pan is – I used the heck out of this highlighter because its my absolute favorite. My goal was just to hit pan and I did that but I also showed a bit of love to the blush side. Its hard to tell but there is a little bit of a dent in the blush as well.
I feel really great about how much progress I made on this duo – especially because I have a backup haha.
Final Thoughts
Well that is my full update for the products that I have been using the past 3 months! My next post will be on the items that I will work on for the next couple of months. I’m happy to move at least 2 items out of my collection. I hope some of these other items will be done soon as well but I will just enjoy using them in the mean time.
Are you doing a project pan? I would love to follow along if you are! Please just let me know down below!

That’s all great progress! Awesome job 🙂 I’m started pan those eyeshadows project and also panning a blush. However I am doing an update of it on my Instagram as opposed to a blog. Just easier that way for now. Feel free to check it out at @mybeauty.basket

I am SO impressed by all your progress – panning makeup items specifically is so so hard! The bulk of my empties tend to come from skincare / haircare. I totally agree with you about Too Faced vs. UD shadow primer & that Thrive is always so lovely on IG!! I love how they clearly care about their customers!
Excited to see what you pull in this quarter!

Great work! I find that eye primers take forever to get through- they go bad before I ever finish them. I’m hoping to hit pan on my current project (eventually) too 😀 Not sure how long it’ll take to see that first pan
