Hi Friends!
I’m excited that I have another update to my Pan that Palette / 19 Eyeshadows in 2019 challenge this year! If you don’t already know, I challenged myself to hit pan on 19 eyeshadows this year. In the last update, I had hit pan on 8 eyeshadows and no concerns about hitting my goal because I was well into my goal. Now I am feeling a little bit iffy. My progress has slowed down a little bit over the past couple of month.
I am now at 11 eyeshadows with 8 more eyeshadows to go but less than 6 months to do it. And I didn’t pick easy palettes for my next round – I don’t know what I was thinking. But let’s jump into the palettes that I did HIT PAN ON!
Morphe Jaclyn Hill Palette
The Morphe Jaclyn Hill palette was the first one that I hit this round because I already had a huge dip in the eyeshadow when I started focusing on it. The shadow that I hit pan on is called Silk Crème and it is a soft tan brown. I used it mainly as a transition shade for other palettes or as an all over the lid shade.
This is such an amazing palette – I really want to hit more pans in it and get more use out of it. I am thinking of starting Pan that Palette again next year with this palette. What do you think?
Anastasia Beverly Hills Soft Glam Palette
Every time I used the ABH Soft Glam palette, I fell more and more in love with it. All of the colors work so well with each other for the perfect neutral and womanly looks. I hit pan on Rose Pink which was actually a surprise! I was focusing on Rustic as an outer corner deepening shade because I was also using Rose Pink since its my favorite shimmer in the palette. I didn’t expect to hit pan anytime soon on Rose Pink but then there it was!
I would definitely like to get some more use out of this palette. I might re-visit it in the fall months to hit pan on Rustic since I already have a big dip!
Tarte Tartelette in Bloom Palette
And lastly, I hit pan on a 3rd shadow in the Tarte Tartelette in Bloom palette! I previously had pan on Charmer and Flower Child but I then hit pan on Smarty Pants which is a light brown transition shade. It is very similar to Silk Crème in the Jaclyn Hill palette so I am glad I was able to accomplish both of those goals. (I also expanded the pan in Charmer and Flower Child!)
I know this was once a super hyped palette, but I feel like its underrated these days. I am still loving using it as much as possible. The shades are perfect for an everyday look or to use in conjunction with other palettes. I definitely want to hit more pan in it as well.
The next palettes that I will be focusing on are:
BH Cosmetics Royal Affair Palette
The Royal Affair palette from BH Cosmetics is not something I have gotten a lot of use from in the past. There is something about it that I am not particularly drawn to even though the quality is great! I figured it doesn’t make sense for it to just sit in my collection. I should get some use out of it.
I think I am going to try to hit pan on Reign which is the matte white / crème shade. Its not a very special shade but maybe I’ll get use from other shades just from reaching for this palette.
Stila Eyes Are The Window Body Palette
I wrote a review on this palette (Stila Eyes Are The Window Body) a while ago. It’s definitely not my favorite palette. But I decided to pull it in because there are a couple of good shades and it doesn’t make sense for me to keep holding onto it for just a few shades. I am aiming to hit pan on Pink Diamond which is a soft pink shimmery shade. After I hit pan on this shade, I am probably going to declutter this palette. I just wanted to get a little use out of it first!
Too Faced Super Fun Night Palette
And lastly, I am rolling in the Too Faced Super Fun Night palette! This is another palette that I hadn’t gotten much use from. It was part of the Too Faced Christmas Collection two years ago and it actually has some really pretty shades. I definitely wanted to incorporate it in this project to get some more use from it. I am aiming to hit pan on the shade Oh What Fun which is a cool toned brown shade. It will be easy to incorporate in the crease with a lot of looks!
Well, that is my update #3 for this project! I am getting a little nervous about hitting my goal but I am excited by how many pans I’ve already hit this year. I think the pans that I selected for this round will be a little difficult. I have been working on them a couple of days now but haven’t seen any progress yet. I am most nervous about the Stila shade just because it takes forever to hit pan on a shimmer shade!
Are you doing a Pan That Palette challenge this year? I would love to follow along!
