Advanced Clinicals: Charcoal Detoxifying Clay Mask Review | Part 3

Hi Friends!

Welcome to part 3 of this series of reviews for the Advanced Clinicals Power Quad Mask Set. Today I will be reviewing the Charcoal Detoxifying Clay mask. This is probably the mask that I was looking forward to the most out of the Power Quad set. Mainly because I love charcoal masks and I am always drawn to clay masks because I like the way they feel on my skin.

Advanced Clinicals has several claims for how this mask will improve you skin. This mask is expected to minimize the appearance of pores and wrinkles. It also is expected to cleanse your skin and reduce any dead skin, dirt, and oil for healthier and smoother looking skin. Essentially, it should transform you skin and make you a brand new woman! Although, the box has all these claims, it doesn’t really explain how many times you would have to use this box in order to see results.

So, of course, the first thing that I noticed about this mask was the smell. It does have a much better smell than the Hyaluronic Acid Moisturizing Gel Mask. It smells like a normal clay mask, nothing too special. It isn’t particularly enjoyable but it isn’t gross either.

The texture is also just like a normal clay mask. It is a lot thicker than the gel masks but smooth and very easy to blend all over your face. Here is a little dab so you can see the texture.

As far as how it felt on this, it felt really nice! It was another mask that I could actually feel working on my skin. I didn’t see any immediate results and I have only used this mask a couple of times but it did seem to be doing something. It didn’t sink into my pores as much as my other clay masks usually do but I still really enjoyed the way it felt.

The frustrating thing with this mask, and this is really a complaint about all clay masks but it was so hard to remove. It took me so long to wipe this mask completely off of my face. If you are a woman on the go, this probably wouldn’t be the mask for you.

I am looking forward to using this mask more. Again, I think it is worth the $10. You would get a LOT of use out of this little 2.2 Oz container.

Have you tried this mask before? If not, what other clay masks do you like? I would love to know!
