So a few weeks ago I did a review of the Dominique Cosmetics Lemonade Palette and today I have an update on that review. If you read that post than you would know that I am super inspired by the shades in that palette and I have been using them quite a bit since I got it in the mail.
Unfortunately, some of the pans in that palette did start to glaze over almost looking like hard pan. It wasn’t anything crazy. It really only affected the shimmery shades like Pink Lemonade, Peach, Strawberry, and slightly Cucumber. I mentioned in my review that Pink Lemonade and Peach were not really that pigmented with but all of these shades are totally usable. They are really glittering shades and kind of sheer but still beautiful.
Well, I wanted to share an update because Dominique Cosmetics actually reached out to all of the people that had already purchased and received a Lemonade palette and said that they discovered an issue with the formulation of the foil shades. Here is that email for reference:
So I emailed them back and said that Pink Lemonade and Peach were not very pigmented and a few shades looked glazed over and then they followed up with this email:
I am BLOWN away by Dominique Cosmetics customer service in this matter. They obviously had some palettes that were of a concern and they were not happy with the quality of what they released so instead of just improving the quality for the next batch and keeping it hush hush, they are making it right for all their customers that have already ordered. I am also impressed with the transparency of this issue.
I stand by my review – I really do love this palette. I am excited to see if and how the new palette will be different. But in the mean time I will just continue to enjoy this one and keep you all updated if any of the shades get worse and if the new better is significantly better.

Yeah, agreed! I can respect when a company handles an issue instead of avoiding it completely. I will always have trust when purchasing from them again.
